Methadone – Methadone Syrup & Biodone Forte (liquid)
Buprenorphine – Subutex (sublingual tablet)

Naltrexone(tablet, subcutaneous implant, injection)
Methods available for Alcohol dependence includes:
1.Naltrexone
It blocks opioid receptors that are involved in the rewarding effects of drinking and the craving for alcohol. They reduce relapse to drinkingproblem in some patients. Vivitrol,an extended release version, taken once a month by injection—is also FDA-approved for treating alcoholism, even offer benefits regarding compliance.
2. Acamprosate
It acts on the gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) and glutamate neurotransmitter systems and is believed to reduce symptoms of protracted withdrawal, like insomnia, anxiety, restlessness, and dysphoria. It has been shown to help dependent drinkers maintain abstinence for several weeks to months, and even more effective in patients with severe dependence.
3.Disulfiram
It acts by interfering with degradation of alcohol, resulting in the accumulation of acetaldehyde, which, in turn, produces a very unpleasant reaction that includes flushing, nausea, and plapitations if a person consumes alcohol. Disulfiram for alcohol rehab are considered limited because compliance is generally poorbut very effective amongst highly motivated patients.
4. Topiramate
It is thought to work by increasing inhibitory (GABA) neurotransmission and reducing stimulatory (glutamate) neurotransmission. It sometimes used off-label for Alcohol addiction because it is not yet FDA approved. It has been shown to significantly improve multiple drinking outcomes, compared with a placebo.
Behavioural Therapy Use for Drug and Alcohol Rehab
Behavioral approaches help engage people in drug abuse treatment, provide incentives for them to remain abstinent, modify their attitudes and behaviors related to drug abuse, and increase their life skills to handle stressful circumstances and environmental cues that may trigger intense craving for drugs and prompt another cycle of compulsive abuse.
